Common workflows

Step‑by‑step paths through the product for the situations that come up most.

1. Set up your GTM foundation from scratch

Goal: a complete, usable strategy in one sitting.

  1. Create the project and describe what you're building. See Workspace & Setup.
  2. Connect a data source (HubSpot, Google Drive, or OneDrive) so Strategy has real material to draft from.
  3. Write or generate your GTM Brief — problem, value, market — on the Foundations block of Strategy.
  4. Define 2–3 ICPs that describe who you're actually going after.
  5. Generate personas for each ICP and review them — accept, combine, or reject each suggestion.
  6. Upload 3–5 supporting documents to Context — case studies, market reports, past research.
  7. Draft Positioning and Messaging from evidence once ICPs and personas exist.
  8. Check Signals for anything already corroborated that should shape the plan.

2. Keep your strategy current as the market moves

Goal: avoid working from a stale plan.

  1. Add new evidence (market reports, customer feedback, call transcripts) to Context as it comes in.
  2. Watch Signals for new themes reaching multi‑source agreement.
  3. Regenerate or refresh personas when the market has shifted meaningfully.
  4. Clear any "Generated before your current research" flags on personas or ICPs once you've reviewed what changed.
  5. Re‑draft Positioning/Messaging from evidence if the underlying signals have moved.

3. Brief a new teammate on the market

Goal: get someone oriented fast without a meeting.

  1. Share the Strategy page — Foundations gives the whole thesis in one screen.
  2. Walk them through the 3 Top Personas.
  3. Have them Talk to a Persona directly to build intuition for how that buyer thinks.
  4. Point them at Context so they know where the evidence lives.
  5. Have them ask a question in Signals or project chat about anything that still feels unclear.

4. Move a stalled deal forward

Goal: get unstuck on a specific opportunity.

  1. Switch to Deal mode and open the deal from the picker.
  2. Check Account timing for how long it's been idle and who hasn't been contacted.
  3. Review the Buyer group — is every real stakeholder identified and mapped to a role?
  4. Read the Recommended plays and use Ask AI on the one that fits right now.
  5. Use Rehearse before a high‑stakes call with a specific buyer.

5. Turn a signal into public content

Goal: act on market intelligence quickly, in public.

  1. Find a corroborated theme on Signals (multiple sources agreeing).
  2. Check LinkedIn — an auto‑draft citing that signal may already be waiting in the Queue.
  3. Approve it as‑is, or Refine in chat to adjust the angle.
  4. For a longer‑form asset instead, generate it from Artifacts and cite the same signal.

Foundation readiness checklist

Before treating a project's strategy as solid enough to build on, confirm:

  • A written Problem and Value statement, both at least drafted.
  • At least 2–3 ICPs defined.
  • At least 3–5 personas created or generated, each assigned to an ICP.
  • At least 3 supporting documents uploaded to Context.
  • Positioning and Messaging at least drafted once, ideally from evidence.
  • No unresolved "generated before your current research" flags on key personas.
  • Your team has actually talked to at least one persona to sanity‑check it.
