Navigating Persona X: Market mode vs. Deal mode

Inside any project, the left sidebar has a two‑way toggle at the very top: Market and Deal. This single switch changes which tools you see underneath it — it's the most important piece of orientation in the whole product.

Market mode

Market mode is where you build and maintain the strategy layer: who you're selling to, what you stand for, and what the market is telling you. Its sidebar has six items:

Item	Purpose
New chat	Start a fresh conversation scoped to the project's overall strategy.
Strategy	Foundations (GTM Brief), ICPs, Top Personas, Positioning, Messaging. See Strategy.
Signals	What independent sources agree on right now, and what's still one‑source‑only. See Signals.
Artifacts	Generate and manage decks, one‑pagers, landing pages, and documents. See Artifacts.
LinkedIn	Draft, schedule, and publish LinkedIn posts, including AI auto‑drafts. See LinkedIn.
Context	The project's Knowledge Bank — files, transcripts, and saved chat insights. See Context.

Deal mode

Flip the toggle to Deal and the same sidebar swaps in tools built around your live pipeline instead of your overall market. LinkedIn disappears and an RHTP item can appear in its place for healthcare workspaces:

Item	Purpose
New chat	Start a conversation with the Deal Advisor, optionally focused on one opportunity.
Strategy / Signals / Artifacts / Context	The same underlying strategy, signals, artifact library, and knowledge bank — available from Deal mode too, since deal work should stay grounded in the same source of truth.
RHTP	Rural Care Journey opportunity tracking, for workspaces in the healthcare vertical. See RHTP.

The main surface in Deal mode is the Deal Advisor home — "Let's move [deals] forward" — with a weekly brief, a deal picker, and per‑deal buyer‑group and plays views. See Deal Advisor & Pipeline for the full walkthrough.

One toggle, two lenses Market and Deal aren't separate products — they're two lenses on the same project data. A persona built in Market mode is the same persona the Deal Advisor matches against your buyer groups in Deal mode; a document uploaded to Context in one mode is visible in the other.

The chat composer

Both modes share the same chat composer at the bottom of the screen. It always shows which mode is active (Market / Deal chips next to the send button) and lets you type @ to mention a specific persona or a piece of context directly in your message. Workspace‑level vs. project‑level

Two things always sit outside whichever project/mode you're in, reachable from the very top‑left of the screen:

Brand and Memory and Connectors — workspace‑wide, shared by every project.
Settings — your account profile, password, workspace details, credits & billing, and AI tool connections.

Click the project name at the top‑left of any project screen to go back up to the workspace level.
